HEARTS of STEM is a new initiative of Ulster University’s Research Graduate School (Faculty of Arts) and the School of Creative Arts and Technologies, in association with FabLab NI and the Irish Sound, Science and Technology Association. Through events in Belfast and Derry/Londonderry, HEARTS of STEM will present talks, demonstrations and creative exhibits highlighting how the arts and technology are intersecting in the early 21st century. Topics will include:

• Accessible Design

• Open Culture, Open Technologies

• Does an Arts/STEM divide really exist?

• Making a Difference: the social impact of 3D printing

• Technology and Creative Arts

• Digital Humanities
