This exciting new initiative by Titanic Belfast’s Ocean Exploration Centre is specifically for school students, to increase awareness of marine debris (litter).
Students must go to a local beach and carry out a litter survey and beach clean-up with a difference - the plastics should be taken back to the classroom, cleaned and used to create a marine-themed piece of art!
Students should then submit images of their art by January 21st 2016. Shortlisted entries will be invited to become part of the exhibition which will run in Titanic Belfast throughout NI Science Festival.
Prizes will be awarded to the best entries.
