Celebrating Science at Queens

Thursday 18 February, 5:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Suitability: All ages

Come along and get a taste of the world-leading scientific research being carried out at Queen’s University. From aerospace engineers designing new aircraft to Astrophysicists searching for distant supernovae, and from Global Food Security researchers safeguarding our food supply to medical teams making breakthroughs in treating diseases and personalising medicine - Queen’s scientists, engineers and researchers are advancing knowledge and changing lives every day.

As part of a Research Impact Series of events organised by the Queen’s Research and Enterprise Directorate, Queen’s is inviting all members of the public to come along to this special Northern Ireland Science Festival showcase to meet some of the brightest minds of today. As well as chatting to visitors from individual stands about their work, four scientists will also give short presentations on their research and the benefits it is bringing.

There will be interactive displays from a range of internationally renowned researchers from across Queen’s University Belfast, followed by a series of short, workshops’ engaging presentations.

This is a free drop in event and no registration is required.  The Drop in exhibition takes place between 5.00pm-6.30pm with presentations between 6.30pm-7.15pm.
